New guy from Denmark

Hello, all.

I'm from Denmark, descend from primarily North Germanic tribes, but have some South Germanic mix in me too (some family in Austria). I'm 18 years old.

I've had nationalistic sentiments for a number of years now, and am happily continuing to do so. I see no hope for a future of European culture and European people in anti-nationalism, which is getting more and more prevalent. There is more reason than ever to support nationalistic movements today.

I am not as much a nationalist in the sense of the individual national identities of Europe, seeing as they have not existed or been the same as long as European people and culture have existed or been the same, but I feel very strongly towards conserving the continental or regional geopolitical entity of Europe as a whole, so its people and culture can be preserved, and continue to live and develop.

I am not a Nordicist, Medicentrist or advocate of any other kind of sub-European centrism. In fact, I advocate European unity, and constructive interaction between our countries in order to promote cultural growth and development. I dont see that happening with foreign cultures, that we couldnt possibly get anything but conflicts out of interacting with.

I feel that European unity is more important now than ever, seeing as we are a threatened culture and race and ethnicity, and most Europeans are anti-nationalistic even in that context! So we need to stick together, and act.

For the sake of reference: Normally we do not operate with the term 'White' as a meta-ethnic (or racial, for that matter) appellation.

Good introduction of yourself. I don't think that everyone here agrees on the idea of Europe.. I mean, how Europe should be. In fact I was just having a private argument about that on msn with Waarnemer, as we have some views conflict here (he'll probably be closer to your ideas about Europe).

Mind if I ask what PIE-descendant stand for? "Pre-Indo-European"? or "Proto-Indo-European"?

I dont consider 'White' a good description either, since it on no level indicates physical, genetic or racial characteristics (as a coloristic term - no one is literally white) better than Caucasoid or other terms. I simply use it in some situations, so that people know what I mean.

What terminology do you use instead, on this site? You do recognize Caucasoids are a racial group of significance, and recognize Europeans to be Caucasoid?

It stands for proto-Indo-European, which is the most reduced term of ancestry I can be applied to - before that, and before Cro-Magnids, we're most likely talking the matter of multiregional hypothesis versus the out-of-Africa model or single origin hypothesis (or other proposed origins), which would anyway include more primitive evolutionary stages that had been exceeded at the point in time of the formation of Indo-Europeans as an ethnolinguistic group.

You'll find people here using European. Plain and simple. If talking of Anthropology, Europid. There are some interesting discussions on that subject in the Anthropology forums.

I do believe in an Indo-European ethnolinguistic group. I have a relative who has studied linguistic anthropology, and have had many interesting discussions on that subject with him.

Actually, I'm not right now. I'm working these days, in a company that works with computer assembly. I'm planning to resume my studies later, and then continue and study at the university when I'm done. I'm not sure which education yet, since I'm interested in many topics.
