A man entered a cafe in Alicante and caused panic as he shot himself in the head after having shot in the leg of one of the waitress, a 30 year old young Russian by the name of Tatiana. He also threw her some kind of abrasive liquid which did not hurt her.

Sources of the investigation said that, apparently, both might have had a romantic relation although the young Russian only admitted that they were friends, during her declaration at the police station. Sources close to the case unveiled that he had helped her to obtain documents of residence when she arrived to Spain.

The agressor, a 43 year old man of Iranian origin, broke into the bar around 6.20 am, wearing a wig and a firearm, which he used to gun point to the only customer who was in the place, while he told him "this is serious".

After spilling the liquid which he carried in a tan over the young woman, be started shooting her when she turned around to run away from him. Fortunately, due to the small calibre of the gun, the woman did not suffer any serious wounds although she felt her body itchy due to the chemical substance. Immediately after that, the agressor pointed with the gun to his head and shot himself in front of the employees and the customer. He was on a grave state in the Hospital General de Alicante.

Tatiana, who is married to a Spanish man from Alicante, went to the police station after the hospital to declare. She admitted that they were friends, but denied any romantic relation.

Apparently, the agressor lived in Girona and, according to information obtained by this newspaper, he could have been trying to press Tatiana to establish a romantic relation, which she refused.
