I wonder wheter these old multi-laureated writers actually think that their statements and attitude go against the system. They fancy themselves as politically incorrect partisans, and they are just supporting all the politicians' plans. As for the moorish influence in Spain: Mr. Grass should speak about things he knows something about. This kind of generic statements permeate the public's mind, even though they have no real basis. The anti-system writer cheering Europe's invasion by Islam forces. Shame on him. Last edited by Menydh; Friday, November 23rd, 2007 at 10:42. Reason: Günter -> Günther |

Neither Günther Grass nor José Saramago are heros of the politically incorrect. They are no political incorrect but the opposite. They are system fundamentalists.
The Iberian federation that Saramago has spoken of is a poor concept that ignores the foundations and degrades the true meaning of it. As for the picaresque, it is a literary genre unique to Spain which is only related to a society that arose from the misruling of useless monarchs.

They are speaking of creating a new Jacobinist state composed of Spain and Portugal.
Both of them being, as Mynydd said, the System fundamentalists, I doubt they are even structurally capable of thinking in any other way. Last edited by Marcus Marulus; Friday, November 23rd, 2007 at 11:10. |

A courtier writer that whose fame won't survive him five years.
This is already the fate of many of such courtesans that are now dead, who remembers Moravia today? As long as they cannot release interviews they are meaningless to the system.
