Default High/Low-Brow - Suggestion

Hello, posters, moderators, admins, and the imperator (aka the Chieftan)...

I think the forums, here at Stirpes, need to be clarified which group they belong in. Which are High- or Low-brow sections and which aren't. The first warning I got on the forum was for posting a silly thing on an classification thread. I didn't know, at the time, which forums were and weren't High/Low-brow or even what that meant, relative to Stirpes. On other forums they clearly Identifiy sections as "High-Brow" or "Low-Brow" sections. Stirpes has no such clarification for the forum-sections. I suggest that Stirpes have this clarification. After the first (and only) warning I got, I assumed that only the "General section" and/or "Camera Obscura" was for low-brow posts, and the others were High-Brow. If this is so, I think it should be pointed out in the rules clearly or it should be marked under the headers for each forum section. This would avoid problems of confusion for High- or Low-Brow sections, and would make null the excussion a troll might have for posting agianst the rules in High-brow sections (he might say he didn't know it was a high-brow section).

What do you all think?

Perhaps we should rename the designations of "Low-Brow" or "High-Brow" to something less Anglo-American sounding. It reminds me of the Phora, or perhaps I spent too much time there in the past. I am thinking of the latin equivlants, perhaps.

Or if I have missed something - which I do often - please show me what I missed and where, so I can be ridiculed and laughed at for being a drunk Schwabe. That is, if I am blind and cant see that there are already distinctions in place for the "brow-ness" of the forums.

You assumed right. And in the ethnic forums you are allowed, to a certain extent, to have lowbrow posts.

Anyway, your proposal will be taken in consideration soon.
