As it has been noticed by a new member, and as I discussed it briefly in the Staff forums a short while ago, the access of any member from Junior Members and above to voting rights in the polls makes the polls non representative of a Nationalist community of Europeans that is the Stirpes Forums.
In this respect, the main concern lies with polls in the Politics forums.
The only two solutions to tackle this problem are:
- To create a new usergroup and to restrict voting in the polls posted in the said forums only to members of that usergroup. The problem is that the promotion of members to the usergroup will have to be made manually by the members of the Staff. A member who believes that he has a right to that group will have to contact the Staff first (via PM or a post in a thread devoted to it), and the Staff will have to decide if the member meets the requirements. All other members will be able to post, but not to vote.
- To create a new usergroup and to restrict both voting and posting in the said forums only to members of that usergroup. This way there will be a link to request joining the usergroup, which will go directly to the Staff without the need to contact them via private messaging or public posting. All other members will be able to read the forums, but not to post or vote in them.
Please, give your opinion or suggest ideas and possible alternatives. I might add a poll at a later stage.
