There is a joke in France that you certainly know : Marseille is the first arab city crossed by the Tour de France. Corsicans are good guys btw, very ethnic.

Lovely ...
And behind the tower there stands a little antiquarian bookshop where I bought several books. I even bought a WW2 German cask on a marchet place in Pornic, next to the cemetery erected and paying tribute to the US soldiers killed there ...

My dear Dana, you have such a beautiful name... we still have A LOT of communist style buildings, but since the thread has been launched with the idea of showing the nicest cities in our countries, I just followed the main idea. But I am opened, for the sake of fun, to have a thread exactly on the worst looking cities in different European countries. This could have a place in Camera Obscura... What do you say, people?

Why not. Could be funny. Hard to find such a place in France though.

Go take a photo in Seine Saint-Denis department (you don't have to go there, you may take a photo from the bus taking one to the Roissy airport) or in Evry, or in Echirolles suburb of Grenoble or in some suburbs of Lyon or Marseille.

But you are right, it is kind of a challenge to find bad looking pictures, because usually the municipalities struggle to hide such places, so I wonder whether one can find them on the web.

I started a thread, again for the sake of fun, in Camera Obscura, over the worst looking parts of towns in European countries and I already posted some from my country. I wonder who has the strength to continue.

http://forum.stirpes.net/showthread.php?t=5788

And with this, I end this small paranthesis about worst looking towns or part of towns.
