Their is also a rumour that McDonalds might be converting it's restauraunts to use cyrillics like in Russia.

so instead of McDonalds we'll have МакДоналдс

I can add that it is one of the few buildings in Novi Beograd that I wouldn't want to tear down. Since the district tends to be made-up off hideous concrete blocks, as the image below shows.

These "Cities of the Future" looked a lot better on paper in the 1930s than they do in real life.

Here is Le Corbusier's Cartesian skyscraper: "subway; ground level and elevators; raised highways. Then, sixty floors of building. At the top, the armoured platform against aerial bombardments."

Yeah, only these were build in the '70s and '80s. The same thing happened in all of ex Yugoslavia.

Le Corbusier was a visionaire, but he liked concrete a bit too much.
