It is not that they are physically ugly. Though I'd say unpleasant to one's eyes. There are people who are 'ugly' but are not unpleasant to one's eyes.

It is that they are ugly at heart. Embittered horrendous life forms, whose bitterness I have little doubts that arises from the fact that they find themselves as unpleasant with their own existance as the rest of us are with theirs.

In a way yes, but not only Jesus' love, but also of those who (at least try to) imitate Jesus Christ.

Some people confuse love only with some excitement of the neurons and "chemical reactions" triggered when you see the object of love. This is gross idiocy: if that were true, then love would be just like eating a lot of chocolate, as Al Pacino said in the end of the movie Devil's adovcate.

But this purely physical process is only one of the concomitant effects of love, especially in its primal stage. Love is much more of an abstract notion, it can denote a lasting dedication and affection felt towards a person, even when the initial stage of "excitation" ceases.

It probably is. If you're worried about how they will perceive you and judge you, and alter your behaviour or presentation accordingly, then in a way you are seeking their approval. But it's quite a natural thing I think. We need to have a certain degree of social self-awareness.
