Although I have strong thoughts on feminism, I find that threads of such a high brow nature such as this one impossible to keep up with. I mean the mind boggles... how do morbidly obese women ever manage to have sex?? And if they do ever manage it, how would the poor man survive such an ordeal??? So many questions, so difficult to answer...

I do think it is very important, especially for physically healthy women who bought into radical feminism, to see who invented it. That will help them come to their senses.

I don't think that seeing that some of the most influential in the feminist movements are ugly will make any difference to be honest.

Perhaps you're over-estimating how highly many women rate being sexually attractive to men. Honestly, a lot of women just don't care.

I wouldn't say "so many women" are turning to plastic surgery purely for aesthetic reasons... just the brain-dead tarts who wouldn't be inclined to intellectualism anyway... and regarding relative proportions, I don't think that's a huge selection of the world's females... a significant proportion, sure... but not the majority.

As for debilitating diets, well that's more of a control issue that can be directly related to mental dysfunctions such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

And lastly, cosmetics, clothes, shoes etc... well many women like to adorn themselves because it makes them feel pampered and pretty for sure, but that has less to do with wanting to appear sexually attractive to men and more to do with wanting to devote time to themselves and treat themselves well. Why do you think so many women still care about wearing pretty things and smelling nice etc even when they're not in the presence of men? Its for the same reason that women like beautiful decor in their homes, or a nice rose garden in which to relax... its about the uplifting presence of the finer, more beautiful things in life.... whether they adorn one's body, one's home or one's place of leisure.

In this way, surely you can see that young women aren't going to disregard what these feminist leaders say just because they're ugly. Do you really think that many women are so stupid that they will see an ugly woman and think "ooooh, I'd better not listen to her because otherwise I might become ugly too"??? Or, "she's just ugly, that's the only reason that she wants equal pay for equal work etc"???

Intelligent young women who are probably somewhat typical would listen to what the "ugly feminists" have to say, critique it, take on board what sits well with them, and then promptly go out shopping to treat themselves to that new pair of shoes they've had their eye on.

It is a woman's choice to do this. Sure it could kill her, but it's still her choice to do this to her body, like tattoos and piercings.

I think it's both. Certainly I feel more pressure to dress nicely for not just myself but for other people too.

Equal pay for equal work aside, a lot of the feminist rantings of today are ridiculous. Those evil menfolk! Bla bla bla! RAPE! RAPE! ASSAULT! RAPE! WOMEN ARE WEAK! etc. MEN ARE TO BLAME FOR ALL OF SOCIETY'S ILLS!

There is a difference between a "diet" and a "debilitating diet" in which they starve themselves.

Sure. Do you think most women only put on pretty underwear when they think others will see it? Or only put on perfume when they're going to go out in public? Or maybe you think that single women most often don't wear pretty nightwear to bed either because they figure there's not much point if there isn't going to be a man there to see it!

Most women like pretty, pleasant, aesthetically pleasing things - this doesn't change as according to whether or not men are present. If anything, I know women who dress down purposely to avoid unwanted male attention.

Well they need to find a man who makes more money then, if finances are a problem.
