I'm just curious how they look in other countries.

Order of Mother (for bringing forth and bringing up five or more children)

Notice the father on the (ugly) medal.

Bronze: 4 to 5 raised children
Silver: 6 to 7
Gold: 8 and more

Yes, good point. Stylised human forms have their avantage.
Kind of reminds me of the representations of Mary I used to see at church when I was a child.
