If I recall correctly, it was first the Nova Roma who started out, back in 1995 (or thereabouts), with the reconstructionist Ancient Roman religion, but since NR is also a political entity, it quickly sprouted out smaller groups from within itself; Temple of Religio Romana being one. Today one who is interested in the Roman religion can join Nova Roma but it also attracts people who are exclusively interested in the Roman military, history, clothing & re-enactment or even food and it is very political since they claim to be a micro-nation. Personally I find them quite a bore but their FAQ is well worked on through the years.
