NASHI movement for dictator Putin

Yesterday Lithuanian newspaper Respublika and radio spreaded information about strenghtening russian national movement SUPPORTING Putin = NASHI. If they dont talk - nobody knows about it, but now it was made some specific advertisment...What do u think about NASHI?

I suppose this is panslavic antidemocratic movement for totalitarism

Well, it can be regarded as interior business of Russia.

Lithuania has a problem with birthrates as well, you could institute such a movement yourself as well, couldn't you?

I read a big article about this movement recenly.
Some compared NASHI to the black and brown shirts.
I read of some attacks to Lithuanian websites and what not.
I don't really know what to think.

I don't know what to think of the Nashi as such, or their pro-Putin stance in particular, but I certainly do think that a youth movement that promotes nationalist values (even if the Nashi do not), respect and loyalty towards the country, friendship among young people in a healthy environment, and physical exercise sounds like a good idea.

They just seem very hostile to their neighbors and seem to support an imperialistic view.

there some different experiencies about russians
- usuall countryside men is very friendly and kind hearted (especdially Siberian where the teacher is nature)

- some russians have the imperialistic idea of revenge and panslavic ideas, forceing neighbour sountries and nations

NASHI is of this kind mainly I suppose

attacks on computers were commited on april 26- may 18 in estonia when russians made some destabilisation

NASHI don't promote anything. They are populist movement who pay money to poor Russian youth so that they participate in their "activities". They have no ideology, values or anything like that. Pure crap.

Nevertheless it's not a bad idea to promote such ideas. I mean, even if NASHI are crap, as you say, I think such movements, provided they are soundly organized, can be of some value to the nationalism.

Or you disagree.

In 2006 members of Nashi conducted a campaign against the British ambassador in Moscow, Tony Brenton, as he attended an opposition conference called The Other Russia on July 11-12[5]. Unnamed British officials were reported to suspect that this campaign had been co-ordinated by elements within the Russian government as a punishment for the speech given by the ambassador at an opposition meeting in July. In April and May 2007, Nashi members held daily violent protests in front of the Estonian embassy in Moscow in protest of the moving of the Bronze Soldier of Tallinn to a military cemetary. [6]
On May 2 2007 they blocked both the cars of both the Estonian and the Swedish ambassadors and tried to attack them.
In July 2007, Nashi's annual camp, 200 miles outside Moscow, is attended by 10,000 uniformed youngsters and involves two weeks of lectures and physical fitness.[7]
Some Russian political commentators have dubbed the movement "Putinjugend", in obvious parallel with Hitlerjugend, the "Hitler Youth" of Nazi Germany.[8]

I would like to ask - what is NASHI opinion

about TARTU(Estonia) massacre 1941 the last days of June- Red army killed 250 estonians before leaving

about Helsinki and other South Finnish towns bombing in 1939-1940 using occupied estonian airports

about 700 lithuanians murdered or killed in 17 places of Lithuania during the first days of NAZZI - Soviet Union war in June 1941

about 78 kileed latvian political prisoners at the same time

and why estonians, latvian and lithuanian people must feel some respect to the army which transported tens of thousand people to cold and hungry SIBERIA?

I suppose, that yong men in NASHI were foolished by some kremlin ideologists

I think the goal of this organization is to act as puppets to whatever powers that be tell them they should do. A wide range of tasks could it be. But primarily to fight off 'Fascism', the threat of 'Orange-styled' liberal revolution and growing nationalistic tendencies on the part of Russian youth. It's mainly apolitical, desperately short on money crowd that they attract.

I know very little about Nashi but judging by what I see in the English language media the Anglo-American conspiracy against Putin is quite real. Both the British and American diplomatic corps and their foreign affairs establishment seem to be actively campaigning to tame Russia and get it back under control. Nashi, or a similar organisation, may be necessary to counterbalance any "colour revolution" directed by outsiders.

Anglo-American politicians and not only they have fought against comunistic totalitarism - for basic human rights and democracy. It's difficult to imagine situation if U never lived in USSR. Putin is different from the old kremlin marasmatics, but this means that he is much more dangerous for the world than his predecessors. That was an earlier era when NATO was actually needed to counter the Soviet threat. Those days are over and NATO should have been disbanded rather than expanded.

The Baltic states should not put much trust in the US/UK factions now in power. All evidence points to a revival of isolationism in both countries in the next few years.

Do you think that Russia is planning to revive the Soviet Union by forcing all other countries of the former USSR to join in? I see it not only as highly improbable, but practically impossible and completely unrealistic.

Can you give any evidence that Russia is planning something like that and how that could be put into effect?

There is none...

The idea that Putin - a man raised in the Orthodox Christian faith in secret by his mother - is trying to resuscitate the USSR (as in Soviet Communism) is simply Anglo-Zionist-American propaganda designed to promote fear and pro-Americanism in Europe and central Asia.

The reality is that Putin's pro-family, pro-Russian and anti-high finance policies are completely opposed to Communism, and that not only is he building a strong Russian nation to be an example for other nation states, but he's also trying to weaken the international economic and trade system bossed by bankers and big business at the expense of those nation states.

His move against the Oligarchs (i.e. Berezovsky et cetera) should lead people to the right conclusions, but it's amazing how much people in the West believe the crap they read about Russia in the papers. Now as far as I know, Respublika is a reputable newspaper which doesn't bow to the wishes of high finance, but the press in small eastern European nations seem terrified of Russia because of their past experiences with Communism.

But has anyone looked inside Putin's regime and his policies to see if they're actually Communist? I think people are choosing to be irrational instead...

Some western polititians never had adequate understanding about Russia plans and real threats. Putin've told -"now the most important is economical war and money influence". Can You guess about privatisation process results in former Warsaw block countries or about media dependence?

The main geopolitical task of Russia(GRU-SVR-FSB-...kgb) was destabilisation of the oil market prices, contradicting successfull Reigan's plan ceeping low oil prices to crash Soviet Union. But to discuss and understand this You need specific information about explosions of highscrappers in Moscow 1999 09 09 and 1999 09 13 plus continuation after two years exactly in the middle of those dates - 11th september 2001 NYC
