The cities of Ceuta and Melilla are not a remnant of any colonial empire. They were a part of Spain not only before Morocco existed, but even before Islam existed.
It was some Julianus, Governor of Ceptem (Ceuta) who arranged the meeting of the treacherous Visigothic faction of Witiza's family and the Sephardic Jews, with the Arab Governor of Northern Africa, Musa, to send Muslim troops into Spain. Anyway, Morocco is a preference allied of the United States. It always has been. Even the annexation of Western Sahara was done with the support of America. The same Americans who tell Europe to wage wars in the Middle East in the name of a contructed western civilisation, also create a powerful threat at the southern borders of Europe. Ceuta and Melilla should be strongly militarized, as they used to be. They are outposts of Europe for its defense. Not some non-European Jewish state in the Middle East called Israel.

Half of the population in both cities is already moroccan. In the case of a muslim military invasion or internal rebellion, it would be almost impossible to fight back. It is not very intelligent to let the enemy colonize your territory --this shows once again how weak we are.
Mynydd why do you think that our decorative monarchs are visiting Ceuta and Melilla? It almost looks as if they were defying moroccan self-righteous authorities. Am I missing anything? |

If they consider Ceuta and Melilla "occupied territories", how should we regard all the "no-go areas" under Coranic Law throughout Europe? There is no "right" to occupy a land. We have no "right" to occupy Ceuta and Melilla --we just occupy them because we are (supposed to be) stronger than moroccans. The same can be applied in Europe: there's no ethereal "right" for us, the natives, to reclaim our land. The only thing that certainly exists is our duty to defend our land. We should cut with the victimizing attitude. |

I'm not sure. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that the latest attacks to the crown organized by leftist groups, backed by the indulgence of this leftist government, have left the null role of the monarchy exposed. And now they need to justify their wages?

I guess you may be right... quite sad. At least I hope this situation will show to our fellow countrymen the real face of our southern "neighbour". |
