A remedy is to drink a beer or two. If you drank enough the night before, it will make you tipsy and will delay the hangover.

The best way to avoid hangovers, as said in the article, is not to drink. Or simply drink in moderation. If all of the above fail, I drink lots of coffee or milk afterwards. Eating fruits can also be refreshing, I prefer apples but this only solves part of the problem, not the problem itself
I've a love-hate relationship with drinking alcohol. I hate hangovers ![]() |

BS. I've a hangover tip and I'm to give it to you for free :
Before: - Put away the obstacles on the way to the toilets - Put a bucket near the bed in case of need - To prepare your stomach, take a spoon of olive oil before you go to the party (to cover your stomach's lining and protect it) During: - Do not start to drink with your belly empty (but eat overall vegies during the aperitif) - Do not lower the degree of alcolemy of your drinks, ever (keep in mind you can increase it, though )- Do not only drink but eat at the same time during the dinner When drunk: - Drink water (for, as said in the article, hangover is partly caused by dehydration) - Take an aspirin - Go to sleep (well it depends...) After: - Drink coke to wash your stomach (it does work) - Take another aspirin [- I've heard some drink wine, beer or even a vodka-like drink straight in the morning. It'd help. I'm skeptical...] But hey, hangover is also a part of the thing. So if you don't support alcohol, don't drink.Quote:
Come on. It only happens a few times in a year. It's not like we're drunk all year long. I don't really like those anti-alcohol islamic-like advises. Don't eat pork, don't drink alcohol... Looks like we're living in a pre-islamic society. ![]()

Drink lots of water before you go to bed. The hangover is basically because your head is dehydrated from all that alcohol. Trust me, this works! You'll either not have a hangover or have a relatively mild one.
And it also seems thats not one of the supposed remedies that was refuted by the study. Last Saturday I went a family members wedding. I had several shots of vodka, few beers, and even a glass of wine. Of course I spent much of the night drinking huge glasses of water. Next morning, no hangover. I was tired, but it had little to do with all the booze I drank. The same thing happened last Christmas. I drank several shots of vodka, but when before I went to bed I drank like four glasses of water. Next morning, no hangover. Also it doesnt hurt to place yourself when drinking.

Therefore love toward your own nation is not contradictory to love for the whole of mankind; they complement each other. All of the nations are children of God." --Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac, 1938 |
