however a bolognese is easy as pie - pun intended ![]() you substitute the ground meat with veggie mince. taste it, you might be surprised. Quote:
however i noted that their main meal consisted of at least 3 different types of meat, all cooked at table, fondue style. i've never been to south africe so i wouldn't know of south african food. but yes, i saw those awful things parading as food that are dispensed from a machine - in amsterdam i think. |

As an example of food that in Malta is quite traditional I refer to braġoli/bragioli and stuffat, plus stuffat tal-qarnit. I am not a big expert in cuisine therefore I cannot give much details. Both dishes are in general meat based.
Braġoli/bragioli: Looks can be deceiving, hehe. Stuffat tal-qarnit: ![]() Stuffat means stufato, ergo, stew basically. Stuffat tal-qarnit is octupus stew, but stew with other meat such as beef and pork is also quite common in Malta (or at least at my house, hehe).

When I was in the Czech republic I ate some Saurkraut and Dumplings, it was absoloutly unreal!!
ive tried making it here at home since but I cant get it right. I like the Ghurkhins the mainlanders like to use as well. Big slices of beetroot. MM. Im hungry now. Here in Ireland, you cant beat a big pile of mashed potatos with peas and gravy and fried onions. or4 plain old tea and toast is great too. Holy smoke Im really hungry now. |

I voted German Polish and Russian. Those make up the cuisines that taste best to my palette and are best for my physical type. The cuisines can also be found in remnants in places in italy and spain and heavily similar in holland, england, scotland, and scandinavia. I didn't see I could have chosen other, I would have said Scandinavian, Baltic and Viennese.
