Default The Whiskey/Whisky appreciation thread.

Yes. Here you may post your favorite whiskies.

I started of the night with a nice Glenfiddich, Single-Malt 15 years -

But with some inspiration from Mynydd I remembered I had this in the kitchen -

Bushmills 10 year single malt.

So! Start posting .

I bought a Glenturrent for the first time in Perthshire by suggestion of a friend. Didn't regret it!

Glenlivet is another classic here, in fine establishments.

There is a faithful public in Spain for who no other whisky will do it, but Spain's own. DYC, made in Segovia

Another fine whisky, Glenmorangie

Most whiskeys don't settle well in my stomach, but I like Ardbeg.

A question for the Celts: What does "Ardbeg" mean?

Ardbeg is just a distillery , no special, cool, Celtic philosophical meaning .

I remember being told about a bar in a far off remote island in Scotland where if the barman didn't know your drink, or didn't have the drink, you got it for free!

Does anyone know of such a place?

Here is my appreciation of whisky: I think it tastes like mashed heteroptera.

Mine:

Nice to have a drink from a place that itself is a pleasure to remember.

It's just the Scottish version of the Eldorado myth. Many intrepid men have died seeking this wonder of wonders....

Ard is high, or a hill. Beag is little. Small Hill, Hillock, that's all!
