Bitter-sweet election for Labour

It has been a mixed night for Labour in the Welsh assembly election, but the party could still hold onto power.

With a few results to be declared, the party held off most challenges, but there were gains for the Conservatives and Plaid Cymru.

Labour is short of an overall majority although by far the largest party.
The Welsh Liberal Democrats said it was "clear that the people of Wales have decided that no one party should command a majority in the assembly". [...]

Salmond leads charge as SNP gain

The SNP has made significant gains including the constituencies contested by leader Alex Salmond and his deputy Nicola Sturgeon.

Mr Salmond took the Gordon seat from the Lib Dems while Ms Sturgeon won Glasgow Govan from Labour.

The SNP took Dundee West, Central Fife, Stirling, Kilmarnock and Loudoun and Cunninghame North from Labour.[...]

Like the Scottish "Nationalists" who call Scot anyone waving a cross of St Andrew, I doubt they oppose the notion of Black or Asian Welsh.
