I don't see anything bad in some old people buyng a house in a country like Croatia or Bulgaria in order to live their last years in a peaceful and a bit warmer place,what many english do.As long as they don't breed and create a minority in the country,there is no need to "kick them out".

Immigration: Like I said, it is none of your business if another country rejects immigrants. Who are you to tell the Irish to accept Polaks? Who are you to tell Germans to accept Croats, who are you to tell Spaniards to accept Englishmen?

Foreign property: First, you are incorrect to assume that it is elderly and wealthy people who are leaving their countries for a "warmer retirement."

The price of properties abroad in the EU are actually going down, and are not as expensive as they once were. But regardless, what right do they have to buy property in anothers country?

.___. holiday homes: my opinion? i think it's fine for a visit but really there are plenty of nice places to retire to in the UK (for example, English and Spaniards)... though never been to Spain so can't judge on that front ^^ To me I'd like to send the immigrants home that are causing the most damage first, so I don't think that retirees are on the top of the list of concerns.

It starts with few old people buying houses then they spread like rats, until they f??? over much of region's cultural heritage as they don't have any respect for the land or people. Just because they have destroyed their land with massive immigration it doesn't mean we'll welcome them here, not at all, in fact they're to blame for immigration in large measure.

When poor imigrants come,take work places and breed it's bad.But when two old people come with their money,don't take work places but bring money from their own country and in a few years die - it is good for the country.From this whole process the country has only earned money without loosing job places for the natives and no immigrant childrens have been born.So what's the problem with that?And i'm talking only about that king of situation,not all other forms of immigration when children are being born and jobs taken.

So the money is problem? What about cultural preservation of my region and nation? Massive (poor) immigration is directed at cities anyway, industrial cities in which there is hardly anything worth preserving, while those people come to what is one of the most beautiful parts of our country, which was never industrialized.

As for the money, the prices of properties started to grow because Slovenians obviously can't compete with English who are always willing to offer more. There has also been countless complains about how it ruined local tourist businesses, English immigrants setting up their own tourist agencies from which of course no one here gets a penny.

Tourists spend money in the country though as well, though I regard the situation as negative in general, you can't say that "no one here gets a penny".
