I don't really expect much from the United Nations, but this document can be useful for asking the simple question: "if this is no less than what the indigenous peoples of the world deserve, why can't the indigenous peoples of Europe demand the same?"
I am thinking of not just the smaller nationalities or regional identities, but the larger nation-states as well. It would seem to me that the indigenous peoples of France or Germany have the right to demand "autonomy or self-government in matters relating to their internal and local affairs, as well as ways and means for financing their autonomous functions" free of the EU, or the right "to maintain and strengthen their distinct political, legal, economic, social and cultural institutions" without mass immigration. A nearly random choice:

We should look into this charter with much attention. I think that much of what we demand is included there.

It would be interesting if one of us wrote a letter to the UN regarding this "declaration of rights" and see why it only applies to a selected few.

Undoubtedly, it contains some worthwhile assertions and principles.
