Norwegian bunad
![]() Also called "bunad"; - bu, is old norse for to live, and -nad, something like "what is to it". Norway consists of about 20 counties, or " fylker" - fylke means about the same as german "volks". The 20 fylker are roughly congruent to the old lesser Norwegian kingdoms. Each fylke has its costume. No bunads is exactly alike. I just posted a few of those that I like.
