30ºC in Valencia at midday. It is probably about 35ºC under the sun. Not even a shy breeze. Not a leave moving. Only the non stop sound of the crickets.

During the whole July it was hellish hot here, with temperatures not below 35 degrees. From yesterday the weather cooled down a bit, thanks God.

I think that this summer temperatures so far have been increasinly higher the farther you moved east. It has been mild for us if compared to the last 3 years or so.
It is usually during the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August that it gets hotter. What Italians call il ferragosto (the "august iron").

16ºC for the moment
 The weather here in southern sweden,this month has been catastrophic,heavy rain floodings, storms, with temperatures around 14-20ºC . The first two weeks In june was pretty warm "with temperatures reaching 33°C.Hopefully the sun will come back soon because I need me a dose of Vitamin D

40 minutes after I wrote my previous post in this thread, a lightning bolt struck down as near as to make a weird sound through my speakers A FRACTION OF A SPLIT-SECOND BEFORE I JUMPED OUT OF MY COMFY ARMCHAIR, when the bolt hit the ground with a diabolic bang. Thunder usually doesn't scare me at all, but that one was close.
What it means is probably that the electric charge in the air somehow caused that sound in my speakers, because it happened just before the bolt hit anything.

We've had the wettest July on record and August has been wetter than normal. Floods in the north then later in the south.

In Valencia max. temperatures today have been around 29-30ºC, and humidity of 65%.
Not bad for august if the storms start soon. The last 3 years have been unusually hot.
