Default Sending pictures via programs like MSN - unwillingly

A friend asked me if its possible that you send pictures unwillingly during sending a picture via MSN f.e.
Because he sent pictures to another internet user and other pictures he didnt want to send with them came too - same should have happened once with me he said - via MSN too.
Is that possible and how could this happen?

I don't think so...when you send a file, you click on one particular file..

This could only have happened if he clicked on the folder that contained the file instead of the file itself, I guess...

You can't send a whole folder - unless it is a "WinRAR" or "ZIP" of course.
