Graphics and video utilities?

I need some graphics utilities to convert gif files to transparent and animated gifs. Other special effects and image transformation would be useful too.

For general image manipulation I use The Gimp on Mac OS X over an X11 layer.

For video, I need some converter between fli and mpeg (and perhaps other) file formats.

I'm currently using MPlayer to view videos downloaded in fli format.


Programmes must be native to Mac OS X Intel architecture (no PowerPC).

Any hints?

I use AGif for that (image transparency and animating gifs) you don't need to install any program you just open it as if it was an ordinary document without the need for instalation. If you are intrested just send me a PM.
