Fischer-Dieskau sings Mahler
From Gustav Mahler's opus "Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen" (Songs of the wayfarer), the lieder "Ging heut Morgen übers Feld" (I went this morning over the field).
And this is an even younger Fischer-Dieskau performing song from Mahler's "Kindertotenlieder" (Songs for the dead children). Majestic, almost disturbing.
