I saw it, and I enjoyed it as well, however Galaico, let me point out some points about it. V for Vendetta is based on an 80's comic book that was really short compared to most comic book series. In the 80's, I think the comic book was more directed towards communism and not so much far right parties due to the political climate of the world at that time.
The movie wasnt written recently, and there isnt many big differences between the comic book and the movie, except for a couple of characters getting left out and when the police inspector goes to the camp he actually takes drugs and the ending of the film. Obviously the film can be used by the reds, but personally, it dosnt stop me from enjoying it greatly.

I dont liked it honestly, though the movie "had its moments" so to say, my girlfried even hated it for the reasons mentioned above, its praise of homosexuals, perverts and minorities of all kinds. Its a good example of how a system-critique against the current policy can lead to a left-liberal moral and logic, "the enemy" being the conservative, not just the Neoconservative economic Imperialist, but the more traditional ones even more so, which is finally totally corrupted and brutalised...whereas the Liberals and homosexuals being "heros", un-corrupted and decent people. Especially the emphasis on the "moral and sensitive" homosexual, one being "stupid funny", liking sado-masochism with males, but being just "a poor guy" who is well educated and loves the Quran, as if "tolerance and Islam" being one thing and he would have had a better life under Muslim rules *lol* Nothing to recommend in my opinion.

My brother and his girlfriend watched it last night, and I sat in on it, although I missed the first few minutes. I found it a bit too much - especially the ending was cheesy. "He was you, he was me, he was all of us..."
Also, it didn't surprise me much. I had expected it to have some dramatic, surprising twists and turns. It was very entertaining, though. And as for the political message of it - who cares? ![]() edit: To be fair, it did surprise me - I had expected it to be surprising, and it wasn't. That surprised me. ![]()

An obscure valley would be for me the sole habitable earth." |

Purely for entertainment, I thought it was a good movie.
Underneath, there's a good deal of leftist propaganda it's pushing, but if you subtract the praising of gays and race-mixing it's just about people overthrowing an oppressive, corrupt government. |

It has a bad message, but it´s for entertainment, and it has a bad message because the ideology very leftists, against tradition, family and institutions are dangeorus, very dangerous.
