'The Lost Legion' is the working title of a movie set in Roman times on the border of Germania Inferior. The movie, produced by the Dutch company Phalera Productions, is a completely volunteer, not-for-profit project.
Production started early this year with scenes shot at the Bunnik reconstructed watchtower and at the Biblical Open-Air museum. Equipment was provided by the Gemina Project reenactment group. These early scenes should form a trailer for the movie.

The story revolves around a small group of survivors of the destruction of their legion by Germanic tribesmen (the Clades Variana and Lolliana come to mind). These legionaries, led by a centurion, try to make their way back to the civilized world, with each having his own concerns. The centurion wants to recapture the aquila. Some of the group are willing to help, others conditionally so and some just want to save their skins.
