Default Kingdom of Heaven

"KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is an epic adventure about a common man who finds himself thrust into a decades-long war. A stranger in a strange land, he serves a doomed king, falls in love with a forbidden queen, and rises to knighthood. Ultimately, he must protect the people of Jerusalem from overwhelming forces – while striving to keep a fragile peace. From Ridley Scott, the master of the modern epic and director of Gladiator."

I'm really interested in watching this movie, both because it's from the same director of Gladiator and because the "amerikuhn" critics who have Ridley Scott under fire under allegations of "bad timing". Needless to say some think that a movie portraying a war hero in the Holy Land, who protects Christians from Islam is a "non PC movie" for our day and age.

Check here for the trailer. (Exclusive Online Trailer, it's worth the wait.)

Cheers

Thumbs down Re: The Kingdom of Heaven

I've noticed that KOH shows a biased vision of the crusades, it is clearly pro muslim and anti christian. The movie is based on this basic and classic scheme : the goods are non european, muslims, loyals, etc... the bad are europeans, christians, they are the agressors, they're viles, etc...

Besides Scott uses the myth of the "ex oriente lux". We europeans were barbarians whereas muslim civilisation was refined and technology superior to us.

I had prefered Gladiator.

Objectif 2009: "Apprendre le vivre ensemble".

I saw the movie and it was too political correct for my taste!
