New claims that Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper contains a hidden image of a woman holding a child are provoking a storm of interest on the internet.
The figure allegedly appears when the 15th Century mural painting is superimposed with its mirror image, and both are made partially transparent. According to Slavisa Pesci, an Italian amateur scholar, the resulting composite picture shows a figure clutching what appears to be a young child. More cynical observers may conclude that the double-image is far too blurry and faded to draw such conclusions. Source |

Don't you see a person holding a bundle with her hands (on the left)? I suppose that's what they are talking about... |

This is conclusive proof that Jesus was a closet homosexual who fathered a child with a well-known prostitute disciple groupie who then went on to hide the child in France which gave rise to the Merovingian blood line, and during the Middle Ages the heir was brought by the Templars to Scotland and hid in Rosslyn chapel, whereby the secret was protected by a masonic cult until the true heir (Gordon Brown) is ready to emerge, rebuild the Temple of Solomon and move the UN headquarters to Jerusalem where he will reign in peace for a thousand years,........<insane rambling continues for the next 4 pages>

The traditions of the Irish people are the oldest of any race in Europe north and west of the Alps, and they themselves are the longest settled on their own soil - Edmund Curtis (A History of Ireland: From Earliest Times to 1922) The Irish are one of the most ancient nations that I know of at this end of the world, and are from as mighty a race as the world ever brought forth. For it is certain that Ireland hath had the use of letters very anciently and long before England; that they had letters anciently is nothing doubtful, for the Saxons of England are said to have their letters and learning, and learned men, from the Irish. - Edmund Spenser (writer, and British Government Official in Ireland, AD 1596). The renaissance began in Ireland seven hundred years before it was known in Italy. And Armagh, the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, was at one time the metropolis of civilisation. - Arsene Darmesteter, Professor of Old French and Literature Ireland can indeed lay claim to a great past; she can not only boast of having been the birthplace and abode of high culture in the fifth and sixth centuries . . . but also of having made strenous efforts in the seventh and up to the tenth century to spread her learning among the German and Romance peoples, thus forming the actual fountain of our present continental civilisation. - Heinrich Zimmer, Professor of Celtic and Sanskrit, Member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences Last edited by Milesian; Monday, December 31st, 2007 at 19:21. |

This is but BS. There is really no need to spread on the web and on the press medias all these mental masturbations every time a hiden drawing and even hiden pictorical composition is discovered in a painting of Leonardo Da Vinci;
If you want to know the Ultimate TRUTH, Leonardo da Vinci was one of the first to invent Re-Cycling: he just re-used cloths that other painters (and himself) had previously used for painting and canvasses and later discarded and put in to the waste bin for many a reason (an abandonned painting project; a painting that a private purchaser had ordered and later cancelled or that he never could pick up once the painting finished; a study that had outlived its utility; paitings or composition that the artist had thrown aside aftermath because he was unsatisfied with the final result of his work , a painting put into the waste-bin by the owner because he find that was not any more "fashion", etc etc etc) he then erased the previous painting and/or canvases as much as he could and till he was sure that the traces of the previous work would be obliterated by the new one. This is so self-evident I think that what need to seek for concealed allusions to any pagan cult , esoteric sect, hebraic cult, hasish secondary effects, self-repressed alleged homosexuality or whatever you like everytime a hiden detail appears in a Leonardo's painting???

Probably the most idiotic part of the conspiracy theorists argument. Their is no reference to Mary Magdalene being called a prostitute in the bible, I especially like how conspiracy theorists can never seem to explain why their are Catholic Churches named after her and is considered a saint by the Orthodox, Catholic and Anglican. I mean surely they know such an honour would not be bestowed to a woman of ill-refute, especially a prostitute.
