The Brussels mayor, the Socialist Freddy Thielemans, has, on 9th of August 2007 sent out a press release in which he has banned a demonstration with a minute of silence to commemorate the victims of 9/11 on the 11th sept in Brussels. The reason for the prohibition is that he says he cannot guarantee public safety and that he won’t disturb the Islamic section of the population in Brussels. By invoking the lack of public safety, he is precisely highlighting SIOE’s demonstration title:

Stop the Islamisation of Europe.

SIOE’s message through the 4 slogans is exactly to warn against conditions such as these, where people no longer can use their freedom of expression and feel secure, but the shocking facts are that these conditions already reign at the heart of the EU. SIOE’s demonstration will of course happen, as a peaceful utterance of opinion, an utterance of opinion for which Moslems have countless times received permission to demonstrate in Brussels.

Therefore it is, of course, completely absurd to ban a peaceful demonstration because they are afraid of violent muslim counter-demonstrators!

We kindly ask the major of Brussels to alter his decision and let the free people of Europe demonstrate for their civil rights. We want our right to have a minute of silence to commemorate the victims of 9/11 ! Sincerely,

I am very sceptic about the organizers, they are no nationalists, but I signed it. It is ironically to see how a mayor outlaws a demonstration against Islamication and Islamic violence and for a liberaldemocratic EU with the argument he can not guarantee the demonstrators' safety.

There have been two major bomb attacks, one in Madrid and another in London. Why September 11th?

I don't see what is there for a free people of Europe. And I don't want any right to have one minute of silence. I want my right to throw every Islamic out of the lands of my ancestors.

surely i hope you do realize in life you only sporadically get all your own personal wishes fulfilled. this demonstration will raise tensions up, and even if that would be its only effect that would already be fine with me and be motivation to take part in it

And I hope that before you come to an age, you realize that before becoming lambs people used to stand up for what was right and reject manipulations. It is only when people have lost such ability that they lose their freedom and even their right to exist.

People are going there to beg the alms and live afterwards on their knees for the rest of their lifes.

For your information, the Islamic invasion of Europe is not being brought up by Muslim radicals, but by the masses of the silent Muslims who those who are organizing the event are willing to have in Europe, and probably in the event to make see that no all Muslims are the same. And in true they are not, because the Muslim radicals are showing us the true face of Islam, whereas the others (the ones accepted by those Neocons) simply show a nice face while they devour Europe like termites.

I don't want to sound paranoid, but the crowd at this event could be a prime target for those who would want to fire up Europeans against the Muslim world. I fear a false flag attack of some kind by those who would want to revive the post-9/11 spirit of solidarity with the US and Israel. Sure it is a conspiracy theory, but these things have been done in the past.

I agree. The attack on those people is pretty possible, and if it does happen, it will just fuel the fire. That would cause hatred, and people would feel endangered in their own countries.
It's needless to say that this scenario is imminent, if the current situation continue to deteriorate.
