Pork with Fruits

Posted Saturday, March 1st, 2008 at 20:29 by Susi
I made this for my friend as a congratulations. I sort of made it up as I went along so maybe the proportions aren't so good in regards to the sugar/beef broth, but basically the sauce just needs to thicken up while it is cooking.

Ingredients

1 largeish orange
1 regular (??) pear
250g brown or golden caster sugar + a little extra
250ml beef broth
500g pork tenderloin

-----

Preheat the oven to 350F, 180C, Gas Mark 4

About Susi?

Posted Wednesday, February 27th, 2008 at 03:35 by Susi
Another post with stuff I forgot to add to the previous post because I'm silly.

Anyways. At the moment of posting this I'm eighteen years old. I have a strange habit of talking a lot about hats and the weather. I can speak French and German as well as English but I need more practise with both of them. I'm learning Russian at the moment.

SusiBlog

Well I have a blog now. So expect exciting posts. I guess I should explain the categories here in greater detail.

England: Things about England, basically. Perhaps some politics but also cultural things. I have grandiose visions for this.

Writing: Perhaps since nearly no one visits the Literature forum I shall post my writings here . Expect some poetry, some stream of conscious. Fiction only, basically.

Art: Photography and paintings. All my own stuff....

The aim of this essay is to provoke some thoughts on the nature of democracy. It was inpired by an article entitled Are we good enough for democracy? by Jonathan Wolff.

1. Background

Wolff evaluates one possible way of refuting an argument against democracy, made by Plato in The Republic. Plato says that we should at least expect just and efficient legislation from a government, and he goes on to argue that democracy is not part of the answer to this requirement;...
