![]() I don't have any taboos on the subject, I sometimes do eat meat, in the forms of salami or meatballs but it's very, very rare. Like once a year. With soy meat around, who would need red meat? Not me, anyway. It tastes exactly the same to me and I don't have to worry about if the meat is good or not. |

Meats, fruits, and veggies are awful as well. Actually, I can't think of anything that tastes good. I try to buy organic as much as possible, but it gets really pricey. And it still tastes weird. I do a lot of my shopping at Polish deli's but they are pricey as well, and there is only so much you can buy there. |

Well, if nothing else, the food in the New World definitely sucks. At least for someone who wasn't brought up here.
I had read that outside the really big cities, outside New York and San Fransisco for example, organic food is really pricey. I suppose that's the case with you out there. Sorry to hear that. In New York it's quite common because it's fashionable and also because there are so many ethnic markets and cuisines most groceries feel obliged to bring in the good stuff otherwise no one would shop from them. It's still more expensive, of course. |

) to some German or Dutch farmers to get some good organic food. These are farms though, and I'm sure you meant the smaller cities.Sure, it doesn't cost a fortune, but it would certainly add up if I were to maintain an organic only diet. |

The traditions of the Irish people are the oldest of any race in Europe north and west of the Alps, and they themselves are the longest settled on their own soil - Edmund Curtis (A History of Ireland: From Earliest Times to 1922) The Irish are one of the most ancient nations that I know of at this end of the world, and are from as mighty a race as the world ever brought forth. For it is certain that Ireland hath had the use of letters very anciently and long before England; that they had letters anciently is nothing doubtful, for the Saxons of England are said to have their letters and learning, and learned men, from the Irish. - Edmund Spenser (writer, and British Government Official in Ireland, AD 1596). The renaissance began in Ireland seven hundred years before it was known in Italy. And Armagh, the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, was at one time the metropolis of civilisation. - Arsene Darmesteter, Professor of Old French and Literature Ireland can indeed lay claim to a great past; she can not only boast of having been the birthplace and abode of high culture in the fifth and sixth centuries . . . but also of having made strenous efforts in the seventh and up to the tenth century to spread her learning among the German and Romance peoples, thus forming the actual fountain of our present continental civilisation. - Heinrich Zimmer, Professor of Celtic and Sanskrit, Member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences |

I am O+ like 37% of the Australian population. I don't know my parents blood types, but I do know that I am heterogenous for the Rhesus factor.
