How can a self-isolatory European coalition can manage to be a superpower? To be a superpower, it takes a continental government, wich is incompatible with the sovereignty of the nations.

That's true, but I think it's not the primary reason. The USA invaded Europe in order to add it to their
imperium. They did it by pure opportunism, when the occasion to do it came their way.
