Recently I saw one thread about some belorussians types:

I think the pictures you can see here will give better idea how belorussians looks like.

I have been in Belarus but frankly speaking Coon seems that never visited Belarus. Mediterranean-Ladogan blend with upper Nordic crust do not make much sense to me.
I saw West-Baltids, Baltids, Eas-Baltids, Nordids, East-Alpinids (Gorids), some % of people can be Pontid or Ladogan. Is true that some people can look like Coon's Neo-Danubian type but not the majority in my opinion.

Visigodo, thank you for sharing us with your impression of Belarussians. May I ask what part of Belarus have you been to? What is the dominating type there in your opinion?

Going after your images, Nordid is dominant and Pontid stronger than thought...well, would be interesting to see how representative that is. The pictured average is nice to see, but I think its a rather positive selection.

It was interesting to see in "Medieval Games" in Bavaria an extreme Nordid dominance, my opinion is that rather schizothyme-Leptosomic individuals prefer to participate in such things, at least more so than the average, which means its a selection. Same is true, though not as strong, for the military - not to speak of preferring more attractive-progressive looking individuals as representatives - so showing them more often photographs of a group/unit or whatever.

Well, I have been in Minsk, Vitebsk and in some small towns but can not remember the names.
If I must say something about the racial compossition of the Belorussian people I would say that there is a Baltid core that can go to several directions. As I said before you can find West-Baltids, Baltids, East-Baltids, East-Nordids, East-Alpinids, Pontids and some Neo-Danubian looking people. But the core I would say is pred. Baltid going North you will find more West-Baltids and Nordids types (less Pontids and East-Alpinids)and going South more East-Alpinids and Pontids or North-Pontids (less West-Baltids and East-Nordids). East-Baltids and Neo-Danubian types can be found everywhere but probably more among peasants.
Pittard say that the average cephalix index among Belorussians is 81,1 to 82,9 depending the anthropologist. There is some areas with a relatively high percentage of dolichocephalic population mainly among the western belorussians (Grodno province etc.). In the western provinces you can find 36% dolichocephalic population according to Talko-Hryncewicz and 43% if we follow Yantchouk, probably in western provinces the Nordid and perhaps the North-Pontid race is more represented but I have never been there.

Well, can be a positive selection, do not doubt, I took the pictures from some books and magazins for tourist and is normal that they show nice looking people, but I would say that if you visit the cities the population looks more or less like the people from the pictures I have posted but if you visit small towns is true that people do not look as nice as the examples. One thing, if you visit Minsk or Vitebsk during summer you will see extreme nice looking and beautiful women.

Like I added on Skadi, I can just agree with you and changed my opinion:
At a second thought I should add that I think its rather representative, a good collection showing a wide range of types and including most of what I imagined being frequently in the White Russian population.
