What do you mean that they take them back? That they put them out of circulation?
I doubt it. The costs of doing that would be considerable.

Yes, that's it. Probably... then it would mean that the campaign is not popular cause we don't see many banknotes with crossed Turkey.

The good thing about that campaign is that it does not necessarily have a date of delivery and it doesn't take any effort to follow it. Just remember to cross the map of Turkey on notes from time to time.
By the way, are those Turkish coins legal currency? If they are, they could be used by Turks to trick people and to buy things like cigarettes and drinks on machines, etc. Assuming that they weight and dimensions are similar.
