On occasions, I like sushi very much. My brother spent over 3 years in Japan and makes sushi often. I also like the ginger that comes with it.
Mind you, I even managed to eat it with the chopsticks! I've never understood what is the convenience of eating with chopsticks other than perhaps the food itself. While I was in the Gran Canaria island this winter, I found a Japanese restaurant hidden in the heart of the dockworkers area. The owner and cooker was a Jap and the restaurant was there for the convenience of Japanese seamen docking in the island. There, I realized that they use the chopsticks less than we suspect and they help themselves mostly with their fingers. So I felt like a complete idiot snob trying to use the chopsticks for absolutely everything. ![]() Quote:

Here it is called All Saints Day, and it is traditionally a day to go to the cemeteries to pay respect to the defuncts or to light a candle in their memory. --- Which characteristic from an European culture [different to yours] would you like to adopt for your country? (if any at all)

General Intelligence.
Personally being raised with "Halloween" as opposed to "All Saints Day", I enjoy dressing up and cavorting around. It's fun... but it is far too commercialized these days as well.. Also a lot of the kids are really quite rude now. I was giving some sweets out at my house and one kid said it smelled like cat piss and I don't even own a cat! It was chili which my mother had made for supper. I only gave him one sweet. Serves him right for being a stupid rude brat. And also these rude people need to actually make an effort for their costume, they need to be something. Anyways. Off topicey rant over. Do you read The Economist?

Is liking the environment a leftist idea? I think I like a few ideas. I like free(ish) healthcare like I have here. Umm.. I can't think of much else...
When's your birthday and do you plan to celebrate it? If so, what kind of cake or sweets are you going to have?

Besides, it is not said that the All Saints Day celebration has not Pagan roots: Quote:

I would have agreed with the child! [/quote]I'm sorry to hear. Nowadays everyone seems to be studying a degree but no one studies a profession, a guild. Decades ago there was a certain flair in being a Lawyer. Today there are so many of them that they are the more unemployed collective with a degree title. The Economists are next in the list. Quote:

(Speaking of Chritstian holidays, I think at least half of them have pre-Christian roots. Old Gods were replaiced by Saints etc.)

Not too often, after all it is inevitable, so it is a waste of time to think about it, you will just suffer and distress.

Nopers. I have done something illegal by drinking alcohol here before I am legally allowed to... as well as potential assault (depending on interpretation) when I practise swords with my boyfriend... I've never littered though

But of course, a degree title is not enough. You also need some experience and personal competences. And as I currently have a part-time job in my professional sector though I still don't have any degree title, I don't worry about my future Mynydd. ![]()

There are many things that make me cringe on sight, one of them is seeing people combining a Tweety Bird orange T-shirt with red shorts.
Do you have a secret admirer?
