When you're shopping, do you care, where the article you're going to buy was made (e.g: Made in EU, Made in China ...) and does this label affect your decision?
Damn, actually I wanted a poll in it as well, but missed it ![]()

Buy products with some labels and avoid those with others. I suppose that is what the starter of the thread meant with his question.

Yes, I rather buy products from my region or nation, but obviously this can't be taken to extreme. For example some Slovenian stuff like those from markets, for example Mercator wine, Mercator beer, Mercator whatever, is of such poor quality I rather buy something else. As I often say, you can't fight modern world on every single step. Avoiding articles made in China is just too much time spent on something which does not help nationalism directly.

I try to read labels but honestly I can't really afford many clothes that are made in England. I check the labels more for the material and method of washing rather than country of origin.

Hard to find anything still labeled made in France nowadays. For many products, you don't even know the origin of it. Even made in France is not enough to be certain that it was actually MADE in France.

You've got it right. Prefer articles from your region and (try to) avoid articles not made in Europe.

You think so? In my opinion it helps a lot, 'cause it gives work to some of your country-mates if you choose their articles instead of chinese. But on the other hand, is SUSI right as well, that articles made in Europe are often more expensive than those from Asia. But in the end, I'd rather pay that extramoney, 'cause our workers get (hopefully) more money than a chinese one.

I do. I tend to avoid chinese products since, in many cases, those are of poor quality, and products from some european countries I will not name here since I could get an infraction for insulting other european nations because I'm not helping their economy.
