What a nice surprise, the girls of the Miss Euro 08 contest:

Just the one from Turkey is (slightly) coloured. So it seems, that at least (european) football doesn't need to put in coloured girls for demonstration purposes, yet.

Therefor are lots of coloured players

How can some rubbish so-called contest of beauty be considered "a light in the darkness" in any conceivable sense, I wonder?

Because this contest of beauty (rubbish, indeed) is a modern society thing. So I expected coloured girls in it because of PC. So I was really surprised there aren't.
So hopefully it's a step to the direction, that even the mainstream shows Europe is still white. For me, a light in the darkness, see?

On the first picture she reminds me of Alba.

Southeast Asians in the Netherlands (from the Moluccas) and mixtures don't look like this. Neither did I suggested she has a Turkish element, yet she looks more Turkish then the Turkish girl. There live enough here to compare.
