Yes, in theory the Distributism does show some promise. I was talking about socialism and capitalism, since those two systems were actually "tested" in real conditions.

No one system is perfect. What I personally strive for is for nations/localities/communities to run their societies as they see fit without outside interference. Decentralisation is the key. Any system that can rely on itself as much as possible. I believe globalisation leads to cultural breakdown which can only be a bad thing. I also think Distributism has a lot to offer, yes. It encourages self-reliance and initiative, yet it safeguards the nation too.
