Capitalism. Communism has been demonstrated not to work.

Whether or not governments provide tax-funded healthcare and education is another issue, but certainly I see no other satisfactory way of fulfilling people's wants than via the marketplace.

Oh, but Capitalism has been demonstrated to work. Only that it has a never ending need of cheaper labour to help companies to be competitive and maximize profits.

No one system is perfect. What I personally strive for is for nations/localities/communities to run their societies as they see fit without outside interference. Decentralisation is the key. Any system that can rely on itself as much as possible. I believe globalisation leads to cultural breakdown which can only be a bad thing. I also think Distributism has a lot to offer, yes. It encourages self-reliance and initiative, yet it safeguards the nation too.
