The meaning of life?

The origin of life started about 3.7 billion years ago, there is no true standard model for the origin of life, but it's presumed that it was caused by some sort of interaction between two states of matter(liquids, and gases) and electricity(lightning). In modern times this hypotheses is accepted as highly probable by biologists and physicists, if this is true(which it probably is) then there is no purpose of life because it exist due to a natural occurrence, meaning that we ourselves write our own purpose.

The meaning of life (from a biological perspective) is to... produce as much offspring as possible, while insuring that they will be also successful at doing the same, thereby propagating your genes.

I think Aled and flashvoyager along with me() have hit the nail on the head.
I am not religious, but to me that seems the point. Even to my parents who are religious, they also think the meaning of life is to find meaning to it. Many others I know who are religious see it the same way.

as far as the offspring goes..how many stirpes members here have girlfriends/wives/have kids? I think we are the bottom of the foodchain regarding that theory

A consistent part of mankind thinks so and acts consequently, simply the first rule for them is to negate it even when caught at playing their favourite game, domination of others.
