Default Kernavė - the old Lithuania capital of celtic Cernunos?

Authors A. Luchtanas and J. Sazonovas.

According to R. Sidrys.

Valstybinis Kernavës archeologijos ir istorijos muziejus-rezervatas (Kernavë) - archaeological museum of Kernavė

The name Kernavė is supposed to have origin from the old pagan Baltic God - Kernius. This sounds like Kernunos, but traces of Keltic languages in Lithuanian are very week.
Lithuania is a country of thousand hillforts starting from the bronze and iron ages.
Some battles against hun tribe Akacyri and later - against crusaders vwere very sharp in Kernavė

In the beginning of July in Kernave the days of archaeology will start and 20 thousand of tourists during those days are expected like last year. Kernavė is 40 km from Lithuanian capital Vilnius.

Welcome!

May be both Kernius and Kernunos just share a common PIE root or a common root dating back to the Corded/Battle-Axe cultures

That seems like its the most likely the case. Right now the majority of research points to the older protoceltic cultures being in central Europe not eastern.

'Ker'- is Nostratic root stil existing in lithuanian and finnish the 'ax'

They are both Gods - this is important. Some scholars used to tie Kernius to PIE root for cherry, but this is Hunting god and I think this is more close to the AX. But Cherries has the blood color and who nows the idea of ancient Celtic-Baltis community now?

Keras in lithuanian means the growing bush top part, the ax is kirvis, but the most important is 'kr' I suppose.

The geographical Europe centre is close to Vilnius - Lithuania capital. Historically - central Europe is somewhere in Chzech republic surrounding.
