Seeing that no one has posted here yet, i thought i might give it a try.
What if Ioannis Metaxas hadnt died when he did? What if Greece was able to continue their war against Italy, without aid from Germany or atleast not as fast, and Greece was even able to invaded Italy. Something ive read from Interviews of several Greek soldiers, from the war, which was something many of them would have liked to do. |

True, i dont think Greece was in any position to take on something like an invasion of Italy, however, i think they could have finished taking Albania with no problem. Perhaps if they were able to make a Deal with Germany, they may of been able to stay out of any further conflict during the war.

True, when was it when Slobo told Greece, that Serbia and Greece should invade Albania and FYROM? Serbia would take the northern areas and Greece would take the southern parts? Wasnt that in the early 90s? I have a friend i use to work with whos always going on about it. I think it was around the time that Slobo talked about the idea of a Federation with Greece. Perhaps that would be a good idea for another thread. A Federation of Serbia and Greece and what it would mean.

Well, it's not far off from the topic here.
I think a teritory such as Albania is more of a liability than an asset. That's the main reason why it was always left to slide through history. I dunno about Greece + Serbia. It could've worked if Slobo didn't ruin Serbia ![]() |

If im not mistake albanian wasnt even seen as a nationality until fear of serbian power in the region became great, It was only created to stop Greece and Serbia from becoming greater powers in the region.
When dealing with union between Greece and Serbia, i wonder if the Kosovo conflict would of turned out the same way. |
