Well, since Arab nationalism is dead, and all Western variants of governing have failed, they start to establish what they believe is the only right thing to them: a so-called fundamentalistic theocracy. What do you think will be established in Syria, Egypt, Saudi-Arabia etc. should these dictatorships fall one day?

Osama Bin-Laden offered the Americans a volunteer unit to kill Saddam Hussein. Later Saddam allied with so-called fundamentalists since they had common enemies: The West, especially USA and Israel. Arabs no longer believe in a secular pan-Arab movement, they believe in an Islamic form of governing.

He pretended to be Sunni Muslim, he even took part in the pilgrimage to Mecca and even prayed at Shi'ite shrines. You have to update your information and ideologie - the secular Baath is gone - have a look at Syria.
To me being fooled: I even would sentence my brother to death if he had committed a crime like murder or rape; hanging Saddamm Hussein was a fair thing - no matter what he believed in or what he pretended to be.
