Swedes accused of genocide

A documentary film broadcast by Turkish state television earlier this week
claimed that Sweden systematically murdered their Sámi and Romany population until the 1980s.
Sweden was called a
"barbarian country without freedom of expression" in the program, Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reports on its web site.
The program's repeat showing has been halted.
"I have never seen anything like it. The program was distorted and full of lies from start to finish," said Turkish journalist Yavuz Baydar.
The Swedish Foreign Ministry has no plans at present to file an official protest.
