Heh, I dearly hope so. Germany has good relations with Russia ever since 1990 (and even though that the Idot Chancellor Merkel does everything do torpedo that, it seems). IMO, closer relations to Russia and China (and thus generally, to SCO) could be a good counterweight, so to say for Germany "against" the EU and NATO - so that Germany does not become, in foreign policy, too dependnt on Europe and Transatlantism, but becomes a player on its own between the blocks.
