Default Re: Americans and Brits label Germans as "cowards"

Though I strongly oppose the war in Iraq, the threats on Iran and am not that fond of what the "coalition" is doing in Afghanistan now, I have to say I dont like the Taliban neither, actually I dislike them for what they aren standing for. Nothing against proud pathans or Islam-nationalists, but their kind of Islam is dehumanising and highly destructive and if I read something like that:
Quote:
This new war in Afghanistan has only been going on for a few months, but it's already clear that it will be an unusually cruel war. A British soldier describing a bloody incident in an e-mail to the British paper Sunday Mail offers a hint of just how cruel the conflict is: He compared his unit's failed effort to save French special troops to a "The scene was like a human abattoir."

The British had tried to save their hard-pressed allies by helicopter, but it was already too late: The French had been tied to the ground, and "gutted alive" by the Taliban. "That's the worst place I've ever been," British Lance Corporal Trevor Coult from the Royal Irish Regiment says about the little city of Sangin in Helmand, where he defended NATO positions for weeks.
I'd say give weapons and material to allies there and go out there, or if Europeans stay there and want to really bring it to an end, I would eradicate whole areas and eliminate all fighters the forces can grasp for doing such a thing to European soldiers. No matter why they are there, if somebody does that to kin, he should get the same back.

I knew it would come that way unfortunately, so my attitude is that: If you dont want such a war, dont begin it, but if you begin it, bring it to an end no matter what. Same for the French in Algeria. I generally oppose cruel measures of any kind, but if one does such things to the own kin and we can hit back, I would do it. If they would have shot him in the head and thats it, or cut his throat whats cruel enough, ok, but something like that is beyond anything I would tolerate of a people if its true and happening more than once - though one case is enough already.
