It's likely that Litvinenko was "sacrificed" in a bid to create a martyr and bring a ton of bricks down on Putin, who has become an enemy of international finance. Hardly a surprise when he supports freedom of opinion in academia, pro-family laws (such as the sterility tax), and has taken measures against immigration, American aggression in the Middle East, and the dollar hegemony.

Despite all the likelihood of Litvinenko having been sacrificed as you well say, your statement would be classified as a conspirative theory and paranoid at it.

However, notice how Litvinenko accused in a book to Russia of having organized the bombing of the flats in Russia that killed more than 300 people in 1999, to blame the Chechen terrorists (The Guardian calls them guerrillas. The British media has been often accused of giving such benvolous names to ETA terrorists in an attempt to diminish the murderous importance of their activities).
