Re: The Northern-Southern Italian divide [split]
i think what happens is that due to different influence(in the north French and Austrian being more cleary) while in the South(Greek and Spanish). In general, I think there is some common things that all Italians share,but then it narrows down to those cultural influences.
My mother's family is Northern Italian and my father's family is Southern. Everyone gets along well and as far as racial traits go, my father's family is actually "whiter" than my northern family. The only different cultural things I notice when I am with them is A.my mother's family is more quiet,but loud none the less among themselves and B.cooking styles, Northern Italians seem more industrious while Southerns are more traditional/family value based.
