Re: Democracy
It was George W. Bush's policy to democratize the Near East until he got the Hamas reality check. Now he is talking about withholding funds from Palestine because he didn't like the outcome. Democracy has come to mean a process by which certain powers pre-select all candidates and so limit the impact of any voting results.
