When I hear stories like these, I really feel happy for living in such a awkward country. No matter what those on high stands or minorities want something to be called, it can even be oficially changed, though no one will call it that. I remember a street near where I lived, the street changed its name some ten times in thirty years, I never heard no one calling it anything but «Travessa da Cadeia»...

A famous saying around here when someone says something very un-PC: It's time to call things by their names.
