The problem is that, for us French e.g., they have sold off our nationality dirt cheap, as you know. So anyone can be as French as the most authentic French guy. In the facts, they're becoming more and more "French", more than us even. That's terrible but sadly true. What represents France (the anthem, the flag, ... : those sentimental symbols) is now the symbol of what we abhor : Multi-culturalism, Mixing (cultural and racial), Tolerance, Political Correctness, Republicanism, Corrupted Democracy... At least, it's like that I feel it. We could always say and think they are not real French, that they're not French at all (what's true), still they're French in this reality and they've French passeport and ID.
So some French identify first (and/or only) with their homeland, region of origin, more rooted identitarian cultures. Their strategy is to say, you can make an Arab/African/Asian a "French" of paper, but you would never make an African an Alsatian, a Breton, a Provençal, a Corsican, etc. An African doesn't fit a traditional Asatian costum. It'd be grotesque for a majority of person. Sure, that's a way of speaking, that is, an Alsatian is an Europid and those who have made the Alsatian culture were so and could not be otherwise. On the contrary case, those cultures will cease to exist. It's an evidence for most of people, and I think even the most "blind" (non-politicized) would be chocked by such an image.
I've seen once a Blak African dressed in Swiss and singing like "one of them" (I can't recall the name)... Let me say you he looked totally ridiculous. And I found it was an insult for Swiss. So certainly I was not the only one to find that pretty odd.
Moreover, since the electoral national way is say blocked for the moment (they really don't have hope anymore concerning a FN election), they think it's a good strategy to come back to the source; the regions having been under exploited by the FN, they think those are our fortress to protect us from multi-culturalism/racialism and one has to reconquer them. They want to reconquer the Regions, overall with more contacts with People, with true social messages and actions, and not just tracting for the major poll every 5 years. I like to see that method as a complement, not just an alternative. Even if electorally, I can't see the end of the tunnel.
Also those identitarians can still praise a France For French. There's no problem I think. However, there are some French (not so few) who are of "mixed" French background, i.e. from different regions. I call them the interior uprooteds, as opposed to outside uprooteds (immigrants

). I feel sympathy for Identitarians, anyhow. They're interesting I think.
